Thank you, mejokuste yes, let's hope that he is fine and it's just the site a bit late Obviously, his health is the most important thing and he doesn't have to travel if it's not good for it. But I must say that Opera on Ice would not be the same without him. He is The Art on the ice, he is The Music on the ice, and even if I loved so much every skater I've seen last year in Verona .. there's nothing like the sense of *My God, this is Opera* I felt watching his performance. It was kind of sacred, everyone in the public could feel him. It was perfect, the music, the orchestra, everyone loved him. Because Arena is the temple of Art, the temple of Music, and he is the one who represents this the best. I'm so grateful that I had the possibility to see that show. It was really a gift. And it would be amazing too see him again this year

Anna, thank you for your input. You're making me want to fly half the earth to Verona and see him LOL. I agree on the music part. The more skaters you watch, the clearer to you that even among the elite skaters, only few of them could really 'be the music'on ice. Stephane is one. I could still remember when I first saw WT in a practice, without jumps, without the costume, but I was all thrilled.
Hope he'll be fine and happily skate in Italy this year.

Anna, I hope very much that there can be hope anyway. First and most important because I wish Stephane well!!!! Secondly: It had occured several times that Stephanes appearences at shows and galas have been announced quite late on his official site, so, this means nothing yet (I hope). And: I have my ticket for Opera on ice ... so he just MUST be there ... (I hope) . Hello Anna and Mejokusto, don't worry too much:) Italy is not so far from Schwitzerland, Stéphane can travel by bus, train or car (with another driver) - if the flight in plane is his only problem He was used to travel by train, we could see it in his older videos ;D I thought about traveling for skating (Stéphane) first time to Verona, but someone told me the tickets are sold out.. I'm too late..

aleachim I think that Opera on ice is not sold out yet. I got my tickets only last week and acording to the seat plan, there were still plenty of places left. Anna Thank you for the beautiful words you found for Stephanes performances from last years Opera on ice. It could not have been said more nicely and I agree with every word. I have been there too and it is true: it is not the first time I found that there is a really special magic coming across when he skates. Even people who do not usually watch figure skating said the same; it is not for nothing that he got the only standing ovation of the evening (besides the final bows of all the skaters). So, let's look forward to this years Opera on ice. P.S: Stephanes appearance last year was confirmed on his official site only in august, so, no worry for now

yes, aleachim don't worry there are still places Try looking on ticketone, you should find them. The better places are not easy to find (maybe they keep them for celebrities) but they weren't even the first days.. but you can find many places in the cheaper sections and even some in the others www.ticketone.it/opera-on-ice-biglietti-verona.html?affiliate=ITT&doc=artistPages%2Ftickets&fun=artist&action=tickets&key=753517%242069827&jumpIn=yTix&kuid=464746&from=erdetailamejokuste, I'm happy you felt the same way and yes, the standing ovation was so touching, I almost cried when I saw all those thousands people standing for him (and just for him).. even people who maybe didn't know before who he was. My mother was with me, and she likes figure skating but she doesn't really knows who a single skater is, I mean she is not the person who can wait all night to see Stéphane win the worlds in Canada at 4 in the morning ;D .. she loved everything in the show, but when she saw Stéphane.. she just couldn't stop screaming. Like 'oh my. it's AMAZING!' .. so I mean, it was not a matter of 'fandom', it was really "people understanding what a great artist is". I felt so proud! And I was impressed too by the respect he got from the orchestra, the singer and the director. Even other skaters, obviously (they were all great), but with him it was .. special. You could really feel how much every artist valued him.

Anna I am glad for you that you got your ticket And thank you in advance for your DVD , am looking very forward to it. By the way: how did you get your DVD: my italian friend tried several times by phone, but either nobody could be reached or they did not know about this DVD. Or: do you know if the DVD from last year will be sold at the Arena in Verona this year?

thank you! and now that we know that Stéphane is healthy, I'm even happier ;D mejokuste, I found the dvd directly in a newsstand shop.. I was lucky, many shops didn't have it. But I started searching the first day it was released and in the end I found it in a shop in a town near mine your friend called the service arrears? I don't know why they didn't answer about the dvd maybe it was released just in few copies, it was indeed not easy to find! anyways, I started uploading in the video discussion, sorry the quality is not completely perfect but it's the best the program could do, I hope it's fine! at least now you can all see the show it's not different from the tv broadcast, but withouth commentary I love it

Thank you, pia , for the news. So I guess that Art on ice in Davos will look like AOI in Lausanne, a somewhat reduced version - concerning show elements - to the one in Zurich. The same show at another place. IF it was so, it would be a pity in my opinion. I liked the "Eisgala Davos" because it was another show and, Stephane for example, showed at least one different performance to the ones in AOI. We will see.
