Gangneung, Wonju, Jeju, Daegu - these are all names of cities in Korea. When I go to their MBC websites, it looks like only Gangneung MBC is showing the ATSS broadcast on Sunday for sure. Of course, these companies warn you that they may change the broadcast schedules at any time. But from what I can see, the Gangneung stream seems to be the best bet.

Just back from the first show. Another fabulous show. I'm dead exhausted (in a good way...), so just a few first impressions about Stephane.
"Rigoletto" was the usual Stephane. He wears charming so naturally. And he interacted a lot with the audience during this number tonight. I love it when he interacts with the audience, and the Korean audience is so fun to interact, because they react to everything. Stephane loved it too obviously, because when his number finished, he stood there with his ending pose for like 10 seconds, all grins, just soaking in the applause and the praise. I think this was the easier program for him out of the two he skated tonight, because he already skated them many times by now.
I'm holding my thoughts for "My Body Is A Cage" for now. This is not a program for everyone. It's not instantly catchy like "Don't Stop the Music" was for me. This music was heavy, probably the heaviest that I've seen Stephane skate to. It was the usual expressive Stephane, but I didn't quite get his interpretation of the movements. It gave a feel like a modern ballet piece. Maybe that is why, since I don't really like modern ballet. I've seen videos of this program a couple of times from his Art on Ice performances, and obviously this is the first time I've seen it live, so I'm not quite sure how to take this program yet. I'm a bit puzzled about what he's trying to express in this program. I'm going to the second show tomorrow, so maybe I will have a better idea then.
In other parts of the show, in the opening and finale, and in Yuna's program as a "cameo", Stephane was the fun-loving, going-all-the-way self that we all know.

pia, thank you so much for the link to that article! It's a great interview. Nice to know what Stephane himself says about My Body is a Cage. And like he says, I can take the program and the performance any way I like it. As far as I'm concerned, Stephane has pulled the Revolver on us (to put it in Beatles analogy) and moved to yet another territory in his performing career. Maybe I will appreciate this program more in time.

Dear sunnygirl, you've really made my day by sharing your story, personal opinion and lots of links! Thank you so much! I've always loved to read your reports, they are so vividly and nicely written! And, to be honest, I'm of the very same impression about the 'My Body is a Cage', modern ballet, ... and pia's great interview! Best wishes to you and have plenty of fun watching the shows!

Thank you so much for your impressions, and all the links to photos, sunnygirl . I personally really like 'My Body is Cage'. Probably there is a hint of modern ballet in it, but I have nothing against modern ballet . I may not like some modern ballet performance, but that doesn't mean that I won't like another modern ballet performance - the same as with classical ballet. As for music - I understand what you mean with "heavy", but I would rather call it powerful and dramatic. And I like powerful and dramatic music - I have always hoped that Stephane would skate to something like that. Besides, I knew and liked this particular song before - both the original 'Arcade Fire' version and Peter Gabriel version, so it already had some meaning to me. For me it's not just "music". Actually, Stephane himself first gave a slightly different explanation of 'My Body is a Cage' in this interview (with Miki Ando) - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufx3Se1CkWc&feature=related . But I like the second explanation from pia's interview better. While I know that Stephane is genuinely concerned about the things that he speaks of in that interview with Miki, it's still such an "old", already much talked over theme. People were talking about that even before there was 'Twitter' and 'Facebook' - almost since people began to use internet more widely (not that it is not true). But that second explanation is more personal for Stephane. I also wanted to ask - why was it that you didn't get Stephane's interpretation of the movements/music (besides that it's a bit like modern ballet)? Did you feel that the movements didn't express the music well enough, were not as powerful as the music, or something like that? I have to say that when I first saw 'My Body Is a Cage' I thought that the music was more powerful than the choreography/movements in that program. But later I got used to the somewhat ascetic choreography and Stephane's mostly calmer and more restrained movements (compared to the music). Yes, it's true that the choreography in this program is not very intricate and rich, it's quite sparse, because Stephane didn't have that much time when he and Salome were making it. But that makes me appreciate it even more how Stephane manages to express so much with only a few movements.

Thank you, estephania, nike2010, lauravvv, for your nice comments. And thanks for that swissinfo video. Very interesting to hear him speak about that costume, because I was just thinking about that costume today. And Pia, it was your own interview with Stephane! Now I know where to give my thanks and compliments! Really great interview, enjoyed it very much. You were able to bring out some very personal thoughts from Stephane. Now impressions from the second show - Again, My Body is a Cage was puzzling - in a different way. I could see the program's potential to be great, but it's not yet there for me. Something doesn't quite fit together for me yet. But it's giving me thoughts and making me ask questions, so that is good. Stephane himself didn't look like he was quite comfortable doing the program today. He fell twice, the second time quite hard. Not that the falls make too much difference in his program, but Stephane looked disappointed at the end, that he couldn't show his best to the audience, even though they gave him cheerful applause. Today I tried to listen to the lyrics more carefully. There is so much angst in the song. But to a foreign audience that does not understand the English lyrics, it may be hard to understand what the angst is about. Then I thought about that costume, incidentally. I think the costume is not angsty enough. I thought it could have been more rugged, torn down. Maybe what's needed is more holes and wires in that leather... Or maybe Stephane should have some stubble. He looked too clean and way too handsome - maybe that was my problem! But Pia's interview really helped. At least I could understand some of the movements better the second time. Stephane may have felt that he really needs to pull Rigoletto together because My Body is a Cage was not as it should be. Definitely, he was very on for Rigoletto. Charming program. And I was really impressed with his jumps in that program. Not because My Body is a Cage jumps didn't quite work today, but Stephane really flew with his Rigoletto jumps today. People talk about his artistry and spins and such, but they rarely talk about his athleticism and jumps. Personally I think it is his athleticism and techniques that make him so artful. His suspension time and the distance he covered with his Rigoletto jumps were very impressive. Stephane looked so relieved and happy at the end of the program, as the audience responded with one of the loudest cheers of the night. I think the audience understood that some glitch happen sometimes but Stephane is one of the best figure skaters they will hope to see. And I think Stephane understood that they understood, so he sent the crowd plenty of kisses and waves.
