First: Welcome Gaja !!! And thank you all for the interesting talks and informations about costumes, programs etc . There's one more 'Poeta'- costume Stephane had worn only once, in June 2007, on 'Champions on ice Tour' Niigata, if I'm not wrong. This one: I remember it was written somewhere that he had lost his luggage, so got the vest from Gwendal Peizerat and the skates from Victor Petrenko. There was even a video about Stephane performing 'Poeta' in this outfit. Unfortunately I cannot find it anymore . I liked this vest (even though it could have been painful if he had had a fall ). I also thought the black and white, third, version of the Tango costume looked extremely well on Stephane (or Stephane in the costume . One of my favorites costumes. And the NMQP costume and program: It remains one of my favorites … (I realize: … meanwhile I have so many favorites, I would have to choose at least ten programs ... All our talks here about costumes and us 'going back memory line' lately made me re-watch old programs and pictures. Even though it's literally painful for me to watch some old pictures, like the one you posted reut (Stéphane with Poeta-costume) and this one from the same article you mention: From gala program after Worlds in Göteborg 2008. 2008 was even harder to 'digest' than Vancouver.

Thanks for posting the picture, Gaja. I just noticed his finger seems to be in a splint and he has two band-aids on his forearm. Must have been a nasty fall? Feel so bad for him! Ups …. that does not look too well. I hope no ligament is hurt. Thank you, kindredspirit, for following and translating. Does not look as if Stephane could put on any skates for the moment. Wish him well and speedy recovery! Take care! Stephane was supposed to attend this exposition in Crissier on Sunday. I wonder if he was there finally … And if anybody went there to see him … and talk to him even?

Back to the outfits, if I had to pick one, I'll choose this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMvEQ8hXE5II don't know, maybe I have to blame the beautiful program, but I think he was super charming with that simple costume. Very him. Don't know what you think about it. (by the way, we are really off topic here, but thank you for letting me talk randomly). You do you know the story of that one, right? The small pearls on his shirt represent the "pearls of the rain" from this line of the song: "Moi, je t'offrirai des perles de pluie" ("Me, I will give you the pearls of the rain") I can't say there is one certain costume of his I love. Just like there is no just One Program I love ("Poeta" is special for me, of course, but definitely not the most favourite and only of all, he has so many truly amazing programs). I must say that in very simple clothes, just black long sleeves open neck T-shirt and pants, as he looks in practices, he looks the best to me. So this would be my favourite costume if I need to choose. Gaja, thank you for your nice words and proposition to open a separate thread. I don't know. It's not that I have a lot of stories to share. If I recall something I write it here. But this thread is more active, with news and all. And if we make it separate thread it might "go to past" very fast unless I "fill it in" often, but I can't promise I'll do that. Yes Reut, I knew the story about that specific costume, very nice ^^ What I really don't know is what's behind This one. I only read once it's his favourite, and for me, it has a particular meaning (both the costume and the exhibition) because it was the first time my husband saw him on tv and then told me he was amazed by his skating (as I said in the introduction thread). Gaja, the video you posted is my drug. I'm really addicted to that exhibition. I think it's because he has a kind of impertinent look while skating, as he's very focused and so much into the character. So different from this one. I had shivers the first time I saw it. This is a program that makes you wanna stop skating, in my opinion. Glad I'm not a skater

I didn’t know the training clothes also counts You are right, he looks spectacular in simple clothes. I especially like his outfit during rehearsals to Opera On Ice 2014. You are the boss, reut I'm perfectly fine with your choice, and I understand it. It was just a thought and I hope you know that I didn't mean to ask for more than you already posting for us.

Even this babbling lady does not prevent me from having this video on repeat. There is a one without any comment but it's not as beautiful as this one. I remember the first time ever I saw this video - I couldn't believe how amazingly beautiful his movements are. His arms after the jumps are like the wings. Pure beauty. Sometimes I'm afraid to turn on YouTube because, as you said, watching Stépane is like an addiction - if I could I would watch him all day long. I don't remember any other skater more versatile than Stéphane is. On the ice he can be whoever he wants to be and always is convincing and reliable and beautiful of course.

What I really don't know is what's behind This one. I only read once it's his favourite, and for me, it has a particular meaning (both the costume and the exhibition) because it was the first time my husband saw him on tv and then told me he was amazed by his skating (as I said in the introduction thread). Stephane said that it was his favourite costume in the article I posted earlier. But it was a few years ago, so I don't know, maybe he has something else as favourite now. I like that costume too, but not "in general", it suited that Stephane back then, not sure about Stephane of now. I actually really loved his "Gipsy Dance" (and his performance at Euros was soooo good!), in which he used this costume for the first time. So my love to the program kind of extends to the costume too. The costume was also created by Pascale Müller, from Neuchâtel.

Injury didn't prevent from Stephane to continue working with his pupils: I'm definitely relieved to see that.

I'm so glad that the injury didn't turn out to be very serious. It's good to see him active again

I didn't doubt he will be working as soon as possible but good to see he's ok. Maybe even people will see him at worlds?

I loved your costume talk! On the contrary I don't like much his simple black costumes... He has them too much, too often. I like when he wears something decorative and extravagant. My favs are his tango suit with red leaves, Wilhelm Tell and Traviata (in both he looks like prince), Tchaikovski violin concerto, Romeo and Juliet with Carolina where he wore ballet costume, My Body is a Cage leather jacket, Paint it Black rock costume and yes, crazy Operapop costumes! But then again - still back to the black sometimes. Like here, one of my fav his AOI programs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oba17Y3h7tY

OMG, what the hell is he wearing? Sorry, I'm not a fan of bow-tie, but I think he heard you Pia, you wanted something extravagant and here we go, You must be very pleased But it's curious that at the end of the day, one of the costume you loved so much is the total black one. Like I loved the simple one he used in "ne me quitte pas". Glad to see he's ok by the way, such a pity he had this accident just before the show in italy, I wanted to watch him skate and shine....
