reut: Thank you for the advice. I deleted my mentioning "matryoshka", because I don't want this to happen. Chances are small but still... But if other fans are interested, you definitely can check the post on lambiel-ru.livejournal.com. It is "open", anybody can see it and download.

www.bluewin.ch/de/entertainment/das-interview/das-interview-stephane-lambiel.htmlStéphane Lambiel: "The Swiss have a fear to win"When Stéphane Lambiel comes onto the ice, all hearts surrender to his charms. During the talk with 'Bluewin' the two-time world champion reveals the secret of his charisma, tells what is needed to become a champion and why sometimes it is difficult for Swiss to deal with a victory. Stéphane Lambiel, since you and Sarah Meier retired, Switzerland has no more top skaters. What is needed to come back to the top?
There is no lack of skaters who train hard. Only, everyone who wants to advance does so. It needs a strong personality to win and one should not be afraid of winning. Sarah and I, we knew from early on what we wanted to achieve. We never contented ourselves only with a place among the top ten. Is this what Swiss have? A fear to win?
Yes, perhaps. It's not a authentic Swiss characteristic to want to stand out from the masses. The one who says: "I want to be world champion" is easily perceived as arrogant. I do not understand this. I love it when someone is different and stands out. More of it it does not make sense to work hard all the years and then not wanting to win. When you reach the level to compete for titles, you should allow yourself to think big. Have you made the experience that someone tried to reason you out of your big ambitions?
No. Surely I sometimes have exaggerated with my determination and ambition. But I was very lucky to have my parents and coach who were always very understanding. I was neither pushed nor slowed down. My entourage gave me support - like a frame around a painting. But I was free to paint the picture the way I wanted. Today the rules in figure skating are more severe than before. Could you, with your artistic disposition, still persist in this system?
Yes. Rules are good and important. Even today when it's more about 'gathering points', this is not enough to win a title. European-, world- or olympic champions do not only follow the rules, they play with them and create something of their own, something unique, out of them. That's what makes the difference between them and the 'collectors-of-points'. Through your dancing qualities you differed early from other skaters. What's the source of your intense presence?
I love what I do! The best moment of the day is when I'm on the ice. Even when the body aches or when motivation is not so big. Figure skating is my drug. I get withdrawal symptoms when I can't be on the ice for a week. In April you will be 30. Does it bother you to grow older?
Surely I'm not as super active as I used to be with 20. Back then I realized my goals with strong-mindedness and power. I still have a strong will, but I rely more on my experience. When you're young you do many things intuitively, especially when you're talented and when you learn with ease. However, the great art is to not just do something, but to do it consciously. Since I teach, I know so much more about figure skating. When I show the children what they should do on the ice, I experience the whole adventure once more. (…)* Is there a future champion among your students?
In one boy I see this passion and the will to cross borders. That makes me happy and it's a pleasure to work on the ice with him, because we can simply go forward and don't need to think about where the end will be. However, as a coach you have to overcome temptation of wanting to lead "your talent" to a big title. Too much pressure can break an athlete. And sometimes it can occur that you can no longer be of help for your student. Then you need to show your true size and let him move on. (* Here I leave away the two questions where he learned figure skating and where his passion for it comes from. Because we know already about how he was watching it on TV and how he tried moves in the garage of his parents )

WOW, amazing news, thank you, Ia. There going to be a show to celebrate 100 years of the International Olympic Committee. A lot of sportsmen and artists will be included, live and on the screen. With music and lights. And with the ice rink too. And Stephane will be responsible for everything which will be on the ice.

From official Facebook: "Champions! (Spectacle Champions) celebrates the IOC's 100 years of presence in Lausanne and I'm really excited to be a part of it! The show directed by Olivier Dufour (Dufour, Maison de création) will feature spectacular projections on the Palais de Rumine interacting with the skaters, acrobats, singers, and musicians on the stage."

Love your eye-rolling smilie, Gaja. It's very much matching the extend of Stéphane's schedule . Once more I wonder where he gets his energy from. And remember a statement I read somewhere (if I'm not completely mistaken even on this board, in context with Stéphane?): "I wish everyone the free spirit and the calm that comes with following your passion in life" … ...and guess that's where the energy comes from. Super nice picture. Stephane's also a good ambassador for the airline .
