"Verner and Kostner belong to the top skaters of the world" figure skating trainer Michael Huth from Oberstdorf sees a positive balance in this past season.
After the good placements of his students Carolina (6th), Kristin (29th) and Tomas (4th) at Worlds in Tokyo, Trainer Michael Huth sees a positive balance in this past season. "They all gave a little extra at the end of the season" He was especially content with the placement of Tomas Verner, whom only just missed out on a medal. "His quads were impressive." gushes Michael and he proudly adds that it wasn't world champion Brian Joubert people were talking about, but Tomas Verner, because noone expected him to end up in this place. It didn't look like he would end up in such a good place after the SP, where the 20yr old ended up 9th. "The mistake on the Axel costed him a lot" says the trainer. But he was very happy that his skater could impress in the LP with a PB. Huth ensures that he didn't talk about a 3rd place with his student and he adds that it's "phenomenal" for the Czech to end up in 4th place. "He belongs to the top skaters now and in the following years he will fight for the medals" To reach that, Verner just has to continue like he's doing now.
the rest is about Caro and Kristin...
