I agree with what you guys have said about the reality shows. Even here in the US, skating is popular and the amount that's shown is pathetic compared to what it once was and they didn't even televise our national champion's free skate!! Why certainly. Sounds like a plan.

Hi everyone! I'm brand new here & attended the Worlds in LA this year. I've been a big fan of John and Sinead ever since I saw them in Calgary Worlds in 2006. I got a chance to meet them in LA (ran into them 4 different times throughout the week). Lanie... that pic of you and them on the concourse of the Staples Center... well John is holding the pics (Walgreens envelope) I gave to them of the Compulsory Dance there at Worlds. We might have even passed by each other out in the hall! Nancy

Oh yeah... once I get my pics downloaded into my computer I will try to post them! I have a pic of myself and the two of them right there on the concourse too! I had to give them the business about that because throughout the week I would run into them each on their own & that was the first time they were together minus being on the ice. We sat right next to the kiss and cry so whenever they got off the ice I was always telling them great job! Nancy

Nancy, that's so cool! I bet we saw each other at some point. I saw a bunch of people I "know" from the internet (aside from Sinead and John on Facebook, ha, ha) and had no clue.

Everybody who are going to a show or competition should post their photo on the board, and then have a little competition of their own, trying to find as many of eachother as possible!!! Something to think about for Europeans/Worlds/Olympics next year?! I´m on Facebook too, but I´m sooo bad at it that I can hardly find people I already KNOW there..... (....in need of a "Facebook-for-dummies"!!!)

That would be really cool... I'll have to get my photo up & hopefully if John and Sinead come to Skate America or Skate Canada this year I can meet some of you. I live in South Dakota (US)and I am a second grade teacher, so I get very little time off during the school year. However, if they skate in the summer anywhere, then it would be easier to make it there. I'm not on Facebook however.Nice to meet some of you & Lanie we probably did pass right by each other. Nancy

Nancy, I plan on maybe going to SA or SC but most likely Euros knowing how horrible the venue is for Worlds! My fiance was upset he missed Worlds (he's a big S&J fan too) and so he really wants to go to a skating competition for a vacation. Hee.

Nancy--same prob here. Can't take off because of school! And when I do take off, I have to take off for my own skating.
I am planning on attending both SA & SC. Prob SC will just be the weekend. Not sure about SA yet.. prob can't get there til Fri. I would like it very much if they were at one of the 2 GPs! It's rare that they're both so close to me! I definitely am up for an excuse to go to LP anytime and Kitchener is only a few hrs so my friend and I plan to meet halfway.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone and Happy Easter!! Yeah... I wish my teaching job didn't get in the way of my social life (skating events I want to attend). That's the bad thing about teaching, mostly get the summer off and then there's no skating! Nancy

Not Euros, neither Worlds for me (stupid uni ). But I'm trying to go to France (TEB here I gooo) I know it'll be difficult that S&J will skate twice in the same GP event in two years, but I hope they will

OK, this has got absolutely nothing to do with ice dance..... ... ....but I believe the Scots rule the ice right now..!!!!? Congratulations to David Murdoch and his fantastic Scottish Curling team who won the World Championship in Canada yesterday!!!!! Those Scots are gods on ice.... ...what else can I say?!!!
