Can't wait to find out about his SP. Classical music with a special touch... Bach with break beats? Mozart with a modern touch? Or something overly overused but played differently? I am totally suspensed!! I just know I will love it.

Bach with break beats? Mozart with a modern touch? Oh, PLEASE let it not be something like that. Personally, I can't stand those fusion/modern arrangements. Hated Daisuke's Techno Swan music and just about anything else of that irk. I guess I'm a bit of a purist in that sense. If you're going to use classical music, use classical music; if you want hip hop of techno or whatever, use it! If Stéphane were to go in the dreaded direction, I'm sure I'll, er, learn to love it. But I'm really hoping for something more like Four Seasons. Classical arrangement, but with a spark (faster, driving tempo), voidy costume, fantastical story... Isn't that enough to give something a special touch? Thankfully, Stéphane does have that knack for turning everything into gold - and immaculate taste! I have faith that I'll even love a modern arrangement if done right by Stéphane... but I'd rather he not test my faith!

I appreciate the attempts to not use the same old music.. though I'm not always fond of the newer arrangements. Some surprise me in a good way though.

Well, I really like this choice. I always wanted Stephane skate to Mozart and it's not so far. Music is light, dynamic and fun. I'm sure they will have great editing and it will be special. The overture is quite long, ther's a lot of wonderful music to use, I like especially flute part. It seems that final footwork will be to the most popular part with fast tempo. Very good for the Olympics, I must say.

Me too, I really like this choice!!! I listen to the popular fast part and just keep smiling, trying to imagine "a bit crazy" choreo there. Can't wait to see this.
It's also very different from his dramatic and "painful" LP, really good. I'm excited. ;D

Mmmmm I want to play with them... ooommmmmgggggddddddd) Thank you pianomaya!!!! Much more exaxt. Who was that here? (But I love this 'Abbado-Thing' in the rain. ) Do you know if that accelerando is in the composition? I have a book about difficult passages for flute. "Tell" is in there, but the end is missing. O sorry for beeing off topic, dear friends. Just my excitement.

Cool! well it's not a spanish/latin theme so it's different from what he's done recently. It's a familiar piece, but I don't think it's overused in figure skating. Hope the program is a success for Stephane!

Hope the program is a success for Stephane! Definitely, it's very rarely used in skating. I tried and couldn't remember any program to it, at least, nothing memorable. The closest was Katarina Witt skating to Robin Hood (great program BTW). And I like Swiss motive, cool idea. The costume should be appropriate. One more connection to Four Seasons is galloping horses (not flying this time). ;D

Great choice of music!! I'm soooooo glad that he chose William Tell ouverture because I've been dreaming of him skating to this music!!!! (Actually, I read somewhere that a few years ago, he thought of this music for his gala program but he decided not to take it. Does anyone know about that a little bit more ? or that was just a rumor?) Anyway, I love it!!
