It'll be either ******* or ****** but I can't say yet. ;D NB the asterisks don't even reflect the number of letters. As soon as it is set in stone, the information will be here!!!

SIGH. Can I at least PRETEND that the asterisks reflect the number of letters??? Well, I'm glad to hear something even though it's not really the answer yet.

Either Canada or China from what I recall reading on FSU at some point (and it totally made sense). We'll see if that person was right...

I will sit and twiddle my fingers and pretend to wait patiently. I hope they get their first choice!

China and Canada are the 2 events with an open spot now so that would make sense.

Yeah, and given that they're already on the roster for Paris, dropped out of NHK and that the O's are going to Russia, it's not like there's much choice anymore either...

I wish I could open pdf files on this computer so I could see if Lang & Tchernyshev are still listed for Skate America. They're not competing, so that's an open spot, but that's our third US spot so I don't know if they will replace them with a US team or what. Last time I checked they were still listed.

Nope, Lang&Tchernyshev are not listed anymore, it says "T.B.A. USA (new)" instead. There is also a "T.B.A. RUS" for Russia, but as Miffy said, Canada and China are currently the 2 comps with a real empty spot as Pachlova&Knoth have been crossed out of both (I've read they split).

Thanks for looking at that. It'll be interesting to see who gets placed in all those spots. It does sound likely for S&J to be in Canada or China.

Sinead & John have been assigned to Skate Canada! www.sportcentric.com/vsite/vfile/page/fileurl/0,11040,4844-166074-183292-89227-0-file,00.pdf Mel, if they don't know already, there is a direct flight from Heathrow to St. John's in Newfoundland with Air Canada. ETA: Sorry I can't get the damn hyperlink to work properly.

Yay for Sinead and John getting SC! I still think its a shame this had to happen - the way the assignments were given out meant that S&J were in the 9-12th ranked skaters from worlds last year and so wouldn't have met W/L or G/P in the GP series. But by having to give up NHK they will now. And with the Canadians L/M who weren't at Worlds, plus F/L who were just behind them at Worlds also at SC it should be great competition for them! But at least this way they won't have to miss Nationals. ;D

It's SO nice to know what it is! I'm glad that they have it worked out with their schedule. It will be interesting to see how it will play out. I sure wish that Skate Canada was going to be closer to me! I'm so close to Canada...just not that part!
