The record still holds Plushenko, it's above 150 pts, while Stephane in Moscow for his still brilliant performance at free skating got 144.18. So you see it's below the world record. At qualification Staphane got 152.00 (it's great since now only three skaters could ever get pts above 150 - Plushenko, Sahndu and Stephane) while Jenia Plushenko got 151.90... so only 0.1 pts between...

My fingers will be crossed counting from now. If he won't has any bad luck etc. I'm pretty sure he will do it in a great style

I think it would be such a great thing if he got a record at Torino...

Well, he already has the second highest score behind Plushenko, so I don't think it should be too difficult for him to blow people away.

eh, but you forget that Plushenko has been the best for a long time now...Stéphane has only beaten him once...I am not saying that it´ simpossible for Stéph to win or beat him again...but on the other hand...if there is something that Plushenko desperately wants, then it´s called an OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL

Well, the issue that I see with Plushenko is how injured he was (enough to make him pull out - I thought he had about three injuries in total, at the same time) and since Torino isn't TOO far away, I wonder how his physical strength and stamina will be.
After all, even people at their peak physical health don't even win (Michelle Kwan, who had several chances but didn't make it).
So I'm keeping my options open - Plushenko has been dominant for a while, but he's getting older, and these injuries are popping up, which can hinder him, especially not so far from the Olympics...

well, I´m hoping that he can pull himself together for this...and he sure is too cause he really cares to win..at least this once and he is such a fighter... though I wish Stéph all the luck and may the best win

I kind of do want to see him win, after all this time. ...but I have to admit that I was, and still am, a bigger fan of Alexei Yagudin. I didn't like Plushenko very much until recently, and even still, I respect him but he's not one of my favourites. So even throughout the years, I've prefered other skaters to Plushenko, but his battling through the SP at Worlds (and doing well) this year impressed me.
