Unfurtunately, it won't be a good idea to skate King Arthur again - this way he won't get high pts... and it will be very dangerous in case Zhenia is all right... Since Stephane has never beaten Plushenko without falls and injuries... And Steph lacks stability... and triple axel!!!!!

^ I think he should change from KA, too. There was something about that program which I found to be weak...and the costume drove me nuts, too. haha.
I wonder what he should skate to...:: muses ::

I wonder what he should skate to...:: muses :: You know, I meant that it's not a good idea to skate KA again because it's his programme of the previous season... Costume - i tend to agree

well, yes, that I agree with too - because it's an old program...although some people have reused programs before... but I'd rather see something new.
I guess I shouldn't say "weak" but there was something that made me not like KA as much as his other programs. ...I suspect it was the costume. Haha. The costume can influence the way you see programs - I remember Ilia Kulik's weird Giraffe print costume to his Rhapsody in Blue program at the 98 OLYS...that sort of killed the program for me - it was so random and off kilter and had nothing to do with the program. haha. It's a visual thing, I guess!

Oh, he'll sure have new programs, don't worry!! I wouldn't be surprised if he actually creates more than one sp and one lp... but hopefully more than just one month before the comps!! I think King Arthur had the potential to become a great program, but he didn't have enough time to work on it. Had he started with it in November, I'm sure the program would have ended up being much better - and he'd probably have changed the costume too, because he wasn't too thrilled about it either. He just didn't have time to change it, he actually got it the day before leaving for Moscow...

Well,I must say that his last costume for the King Arthur programme was uhm...the best.I just thought he looked the best under all the men.Oh well,my opinion... I don't like much when the costume is only black which most of his costumes are.I think it's just a bit boring as a color.Ok,I think I'll shut my mouth now But in the end a great performance is important...

^ I kind of like his black costumes - they're not distracting, so I see more clean lines and his skating rather than the costume. ( :: cough ::Brian's problem:: cough :: ). But yeah, other skaters have super frilly things with lots of colours, and while it's certainly more...vibrant, it also means it can be really distracting. I spent more time staring at Ilia Kulik's OLYS LP costume and Brian Joubert's 1492 costumes and wondering who came up with such weird pieces that it detracted from their skating. While I DO like that he wore something different, my mother (and I agreed with her) thought it looked a bit like a Kevlar vest, lol). And then I joked with her that it was ok cause that meant he was undefeatable, since not even bullets could stop him. But there was a bulkiness to that costume that I didn't like...ah well, to each their own, of course. I don't mind a little more colour, but overall, I really do appreciate that he likes the simplicity of a dark costume with a few touches of colour so that I can appreciate his skating more than I sit there and wonder what is going on with his costume. The men, more than the ladies lately I've noticed tend to have more...distracting costumes than the ladies. Brian's LP costume, Johnny's addiction to boatnecks and the like. Colourful costumes are great if they're well done - I like the clean attractiveness but simplicity of Alexei's costumes' - they worked with his music, and it kept with a darker pant and line, with some colour interspersed. Just...nothing like Brian's LP/SP costumes this year, please. (the loops at the end of one of his sleeve? what did they represent?? they were just distracting, lol)

I really liked Steph's Truman show costume - sober and simple... When I first saw his KA costume in the I-net I was a bit astonished though it turned out tobe more or less satisfactory when I saw it live but still it's quite weird

He just didn't have time to change it, he actually got it the day before leaving for Moscow... The presentator on dutch eurosport was talking about the great achievement of Stéphane to start with a new program not to many time before he had to show it! And she was really overwelmed by the fact he's was doing great! And I really agree with her I did like his costume, but it didn't seem very comfortable to me ^ I kind of like his black costumes - they're not distracting, so I see more clean lines and his skating rather than the costume. But it's true that a lot of male skaters where almost the same costume, that's a bit boring, sow a very little touch of color is nice then..
