And here it is
Lambiel prepares for a busy season… Stéphane Lambiel prepares very hard for coming Olympic season. The World Champion worked a lot on his physical condition these last weeks before he can present a spectacular program, in which he will put a new quad. Lambiel is going to surprise a lot of people coming season! Some 150 enthusiastic spectators have watched his training at the end of the morning at the new National Sports Ice Center Champéry (Palladium). The practices with Cédric before have caused success “At such a point I owe Cédric (Cédric Monon, his coach instead of Peter Grütter) to let him come for a new bunch of pictures” says Stéphane laughing. “I don’t think I see as much of the world then I do now. This gives me lots of pleasure, because skating is a spectacular sport (or a sport in which lots of things happen) and I love to go on ahead people” he says. At the ice and from the outside, everything seems to smile upon the Valasain this moment. His health problems are over, highschool diploma is in his pocket, optimal framing (err……ok……didn’t know what this is ?), the ways didn’t go wrong/ he didn’t miss ways since the opening of the Palladium at the end of June, where he could train in his spare time. “Everything has been given a place, I don’t have much I didn’t do when people told me sow (again…the little teeny tiny words ) “ concludes the champion. For his SP, Stéphane Lambiel has chosen music from the film “Once upon a time in Mexico”, which is a piece of very dynamic and rhythmic music played by an electric guitar.
For his FP , he has chosen first for the 2nd concerto from Rachmaninov, before he decided not to do it because of very convincing try outs at Oberstdorf. “I needed something les smooth” he said. The consideration followed him. After returning from his American tour and his holidays, the World Champion sweated a lot on a bike and running “machine” (I hope you understand what is meant here…couldn’t find a good word for it) . He did this because of working up his heart and pushing his powers up to the limits. This all for making a good base for his 2005/2006 program, which will probably contain a new quad, exept the normal quad toeloop. “Nothing has been decided yet, I will do lots of try outs coming weeks”, this makes it interesting. Ten months after his meniscus operation, Stéphane Lambiel listens good to his body signals. The care, the total recovering and to get it lithe again stays a very important part of the preparing. As much as that the season is going to be very busy: an exhibition in New York at the end of October, GP in Peking in China at the beginning of November, GP in St. Petersburg in Russia at the end of November, GP final and/or Swiss Championships in December, European Championships in Lyon in January, Winter Olympics Games in Torino in February and World Championships in Calgary in Canada in March, without trying to do Art on Ice and a new US tour…he doesn’t need a short breath break. I didn't understand last sentence..I mean...is he or isn't he going to do Art on Ice and a new US tour...I couldn't figure that out here...
