Jeanne, I would love it if you translated the interview with Stephane's mom into English. Those of us who are Americans are at a disadvantage when it comes to other languages I'm afraid.
Thanks in advance for trying! Ok Susius! I 'll do this right now, 'cause it's not very long, and I have some litlle bit time now and sorry for the ther ones ("la soupe" and "le Feuilleton "(Art on Ice- Zürich 03/06), they're not ready yet, cause it takes quite a long time, and I did the recent TV ones (surprises!!! ) at first! (+ newspapers articles , about the 2 new programs! ) But don't worry, I love these radio reports, so I 'll be glad to share them with you soon (estephania is waiting for it too,and maybe others, I'm sorry to be so late!!! , but let's hope medias "rush time" is over now so that I can finish them at last! ) So many news in 1 week, yeah !!! Bye Jeanne. So here is the translation of the interview with Steph's mother Fernande from "03.24.2006- RSR - la première-journal de 12h30" , few hours after Stéphane won Gold in Calgary ! RSR reporter: "It is obviously joy this morning in Stéphane Lambiel's entourage! The Valaisan has defended and kept his figure skating World-Champion title , in Calgary. The Free [Long] Program of this night was a proof for all the Stéphane Lambiel's fans nerves. His mum Fernande was even so strained that she couldn't be able to watch her son on TV .Fernande Lambiel: " F.L. : :"No, I couldn't watch. It was too hard. It was (one), I think, the first time that I wasn't able to watch him, I didn't have the strength to watch him, I needed to ... to pray! I am very faithful and I needed that! This is what gave me the strength . RSR R. : So how did you know that he became World Champion? F.L :Well, I knew this by my daughter, by my daughter who called me telling me: "so, did you watch the figure skating?"- well , and then afterwards, I had immediately my friends who called me ,who sent me messages... So , this time, I said to myself: " It's all right, I can revew the videotape back, I can watch Stéphane". RSR R.:"Did you have since then a contact with Stéphane?" F.L : "Yes I did, very early this morning, I could talk to him , and he is very very happy, I found him very joyful, really the Stéphane of always, yes, the joyful Stéphane." RSR R. :" Ms Lambiel, at listening to you, it sounds to me that this second Stéphane's World-Champion title, had been for you perhaps the proof the more difficult?" F.L. : : "Hmm... yes! It was VERY difficult ! It was very difficult because you are World Champion once, and at the second time , for me, that needed...that needed to prove it ! That's what I said to Stéphane before : "Steph, you have nothing to prove, we know that you are good , we love what you do , and all that , you don't have anything at all to prove to us ", but deeply, there is anyway a little thought which is saying: "yes, we expect something from him"... RSR R. : "So, it was the title the most difficult, perhaps the most beautiful for you ?"F.L. : "YES. Yes, it was really very very difficult for me, and... the Olys, that was also very very beautiful (great)! It was something that I knew that Stéphane was dreaming about since... since he was a VERY little child! About that medail at the Olys ! And... it was also a happiness for me! But it's true that when you confirm TWICE AGAIN as a World Champion [ ], it's ...it's marvellous! It's fantastic! I don't know what to tell you, I can only thank to Heaven!!!" RSR R: "Fernande Lambiel, Stéphane Lambiel's mum that I could join earlier thanks to Pierre Mercier".Enjoy Jeanne.

Thank you Jeanne!
Stephane's mom sounded very happy and she certainly had reason to be a very proud mother. Thanks again, I enjoyed it very much.

Thank you Jeanne! Very interesting interview. I am not surprised that Mrs. Lambiel couldn't watch Steph performing. What a stress for a mother...
Big kiss

Audio Interview with Stephane of 21.03.07 info.rsr.ch/fr/rsr.html?descending=true&siteSect=821&searchPeriod=7&language=fre&searchString=lambiel&startResults=&subjectId=&counter=&sourceId=0-72-310-252-291-260-538-259-405-258-255-474-256-247-47-103-295-26-294-27It's all about this: Q: Stephane, what do you feel after the program?A: Of course, I am disappointed. The six minutes’ warm-up went well and I was lucky to be the first to perform right after it. When a warm-up passes well the performance normally also goes well, because a good feeling resulting from it remains. And I had a chance to benefit from the good warm-up. What really upset me was the fall on 3A. The takeoff went well. And while in the air it seemed OK. Usually when I have this feeling I pass 3A. And when I fell … I could hardly believe right away that I fell. I think it took me 5 seconds to get up. And it was a big stress for me that affected the quad that followed. As for the rest of the program I did my best, I struggled through. My triple lutz was nice. Tomorrow I will need to succeed in both; the artistic presentation again AND the technical elements. Q: Is it a big disappointment for you?A: I have arrived here feeling relaxed, anxious to fight, obviously. And I fought, I didn’t give up, I clanged on. I can’t say I am profoundly disappointed. In sport anything may happen and one needs to accept it. Nerves may fail everyone. Everyone may fail once in a while, and today was a down day. Q: So, is it your nerves that entailed it? How can you explain it?A: I am always nervous at championships, every second is stressful for me then. This is what I am. One day it’s better, another day it’s worse, and today it didn’t go. And only 6 minutes before the performance I passed 3A and 4+3 combination. There’s no need to dramatize what happened, I know how to do things which just didn’t work out in the performance. Q: Do you think you still have a chance to win the title?A: We’ll see. I tell to myself that I will be fighting. I will try to do my best and long out in the LP. This is the only thing I can do. And now there’s no point in wasting energy. Of course, I couldn’t have anticipated such an outcome considering my practices over the past few weeks. I thought I would have performed better. However, I know what I am capable of. So I don’t have doubts about it. As I have said, the take-off for 3A was good. And while in the air I had a good feeling. I rotated 3.5 revolutions, I landed relatively OK and suddenly it went wrong. And I couldn’t even realize at the time what was wrong in the landing that made me fall. I would like to watch a recording of that moment. Q: As for the choreography and the rest of the program, are you satisfied with it?A: Yes, absolutely. Despite the fall on 3A and triple instead of the quad the score is relatively good for the technical elements. It means that the step sequences and the spins were of high level. And the note for the artistic presentation was also good. I hope tomorrow I will not only be able to receive a good note for the artistic presentation but will improve the technical level. And this evening I will try to, as fast as I can, have a good rest, in order to keep focus and retain all my energy for the 4.40min performance tomorrow
