FD preview: “We’ll go into it (the Free Dance) with positive emotions. We had great practices here all week and we have new costumes. We’ll really have to do well but I think that’s exactly what we will do with our “Piano Lesson” (program)”, she added." (from article in ISU.org) i am *beep*-ing excited

I love their original dance, it was just soooo good! Now I'm already nervous about the free dance tonight. Medal guys, medal! (Gold of course)

I love their original dance, it was just soooo good! Now I'm already nervous about the free dance tonight. Medal guys, medal! (Gold of course) me too. but i'm optimistic. nervous about unfair judging once more, but excited and curious about the new costumes. (maybe it was due to the final lift...Isabelle's skirt always goes underneath Olivier's blade)

Congratulations on silver - as usual my favourites don't get what I want for them but that's ice dance.

FD: youtube.com/watch?v=qXwhL37OGPIinteresting extra sign language before the program i noticed that they intensified their hand gestures adding to the feel nice rotational lift smooth and intense their spin greatly improved much more focus - weird exit again (like the OD) the circular footwork seem open like the one in the OD slower - i prefer the old one better different transition off the footwork - more effective got low GOE due to isabelle's off-synch arrrr it looks like they simplified their 2nd foot work + isabelle's off-synch towards the end.... (if they didnt get down graded here....they could've won) on their serpentine lift.....olivier hesitated on his hold...very distracting again different transition from thir serpentine lift to the final lift - more dance action than just preparation for a lift and they changed their final lift...i believe they were concerned about the skirt riding under the skate.... plus this new lift is amazing... yeah....*sigh* great start...but got "nervous" towards the end....

I still prefer Olivier and Isabelle to Dom/Shab, no matter what the judges say!

DomShabs did nothing for me at all. I even lost interest. Whereas K/N my eyes were glued. Preferred DelShoes to Dom/Shabs by a mile.

I still prefer Olivier and Isabelle to Dom/Shab, no matter what the judges say! I have to agree. It was very weird and not really fair in my opinion. Isabel and Olivier, you are my winners

I think the result was agreed beforehand. Only a fall on a scoring element by Dom/Shabs would have stopped them getting gold. Ice dance has always been political ...
