Thank you, shavit for the montage, very cute. I really like Miki, she is so gentle and feminine. I'd like to translate few sentences from some Russian article, which was quoted on lambiel_ru today (thanks to neiztvoegorebra), and this quote really touched me. The whole article is about chances of Russian team in Vancouver, and the journalist, who's opinion I really respect, talks about Plushenko and his comeback; she writes: I'm sorry that the translation is not exact and a bit rough, but I hope I managed to express her thoughts. Her main point is actually that for Plushenko will be hard to do something on the level of Flamenco.

Thank you reut, it was really good to hear what this comentator said. I'm more and more convinced that Russians know figure skating. Btw the part related to Yuko Kawaguchi & Sasha Smirnov was also interesting.

Thank you reut, it was really good to hear what this comentator said. I'm more and more convinced that Russians know figure skating. Well, I wouldn't generalize it to all the Russians. She always talked about Stephane much better and warmer then others do. She even mentioned him few times as her favourite skater, so her opinion is a bit biased. But still, I really liked what she wrote about my favourite program.

Reut, thanx for an extract. I like Elena's thoughts about men skating, and of course, it's pleasant to read such nice things regarding Steph. I do want to agree with all the words. Really level of Flamenco showed what skating should be like, unfortunately Steph couldn't overcome the system. And despite setting the new model (patern), things, I guess, are getting even worser than they were. It's a pity.

yappi, I don't know. I thought for me the last Worlds, especially men, would be disaster to watch. And it was not only without Stephane, but also without Daiske and Johnny, and Jeffrey. But actually I really enjoyed watching them, the battle was interesting and I saw interesting programs and beautiful skating. Of course, for me personally nothing will ever equal to Flamenco, but this is for me, because this program is too special for my heart. Check AbsoluteSkating site for very interesting interview with Stephane pia made: www.absoluteskating.com/articles/2009zakarianshow.html

Great interview, Pia. Funny how Stéphane says here that Romeo and Juliet is his favorite program. Didn't he say in another recent interview that Four Seasons was his favorite program?

Thank you pia for the nice interview and thank you reut for the info I want to continue to make free programs, which have more than two-three jumps and include more complicated footwork. I think it is very important to stay in good shape. Exhibition numbers are very nice, but you must be in shape, so I continue to do free programs.
How happy I read it!! though he said I have always pains, every day. I live with the pains. When I do shows, I have to take painkillers. All happiness and sometimes painless days wish you Stéphane! BUT I wish that he continues give shows long time, o how egoist I am!

wicked, yes, sometimes he changes his opinion. For example, also, he told me in Zurich that the most painful jump is toe and here he said that it's Axel. (I'm afraid they both are actually...) But about "Romeo" he said the same thing in his recent radio interview, that this program is very close to what he really is as a person. pianomaya, but he always said that shows bring him happiness, so maybe you're not so egoistic after all.

Wicked - I am glad you liked it! But yes - Romeo and Juliet is probably his favourite exhibition program. But many others are important too - like Flamenco and 4 Seasons - he was so successful with it. Pianomaya - I was somehow glad too, when I heard he wants to prepare free programs.

wicked, yes, sometimes he changes his opinion.
I think it's a bit more often than sometimes, Reut! ;D One of the things I enjoy most about reading Stéphane's interviews is seeing what he will change his mind on next.

Everything is fine, Stephane's performance has lots of passion, but one thing bothers me. That he must take painkiller to skate. Is it not better to take some time off from shows and try to heal his body? If he keeps doing what he does, it could shorten his skating life in the end. (Just a thought)
