Didn't know where to put it, so I'll put it here: Stephane is listed in the cast of "Pоp Star on Ice", the documentary about Johnny Weir. www.imdb.com/title/tt1329422/

As Icenetwork quotes Russian paper "Kommersant" I'd like to translate for you that part about Stephane from the source itself. The whole article in Russian is here: www.kommersant.ru/doc.aspx?DocsID=1172987&ThemesID=85Sorry, the translation is brief and maybe not super exact, but I hope you'll see the main point. Me personally I find Evgeni's remark to be totally rude and abusive. About come back: about two weeks ago Stephane himself told to Icenetwork he is not planning to. I think, he knows better than Evgeni. Not that he can't change his mind in a few weeks/months... Will I be happy if he changes his mind? To tell the truth I don't know. Actually, I was always thinking about Vancouver with a horror. Few years ago I read the book of Rudolf Zagainov, the psychologist who was with Alexei Yagudin during the Olympic season. The things Alexei was going through the last months and weeks before Olympics were awful, it was a real hell, this was mostly because Alexei came to Salt Lake to win gold and only gold. Can I wish this to Stephane? As he too, he needs to come to Vancouver only for gold and nothing else. I thought about it even before Stephane retired and was never sure I sincerely wanted Stephane to take part in this. I was very depressed after Stephane retired, couldn't watch competitions as I always was thinking that he needs to be there, among all of them, better than all of them, but he wasn't there. But after our talk in Zurich, I think, I let all this sorrow go. I believe, he is happy with what he has now. I think, I am happy too. Only his words about the pain which is still there sadden me a lot. P.S. I think, this comment might be interesting too: www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2255909&postcount=37Stephane never said it's 100% he is not coming back, that's why he is still under that "drug control smth". Everything can happen, but if we were talking about our personal feelings, I'm not sure I want him to be back. And it sounds weird, I suppose.

Thanks for the links! I see that they didn't use the whole quote (I used Google Translate, as always), for good and for bad. I was quite furious when I read that article and saw what Еvgeni has to say about Stephane's situation.

It's interesting that Plush says Stéphane did the quad in shows. I thought he'd done quads and triple axels in practice only.
What I read into this is Plush having a hard time adjusting to retirement and projecting his feelings onto Stéphane. I hope Stéphane does not come back. I worry about the psychological effect of retiring and then unretiring. So many athletes have a difficult time letting go of competition. Eventually athletic competition has to end and you have to get on with your life. Plushenko seems to be having a hard time with this. But Stéphane seems to have adjusted well and seems happy. I would hate to see that disrupted.

It's interesting that Plush says Stéphane did the quad in shows. I thought he'd done quads and triple axels in practice only. Stephane did quad(s?) during AOI. I think, I'm almost sure, I saw one in Zurich on Sunday's evening show. This quad(s?) was mentioned few times in different articles after that when journalists wanted to prove the point that Stephane is ready to compete.

Yes, wicked, I can also confirm reading about quad(s) at gala(s). I don't know how many times he did it, though.
As for them having different objectives in life, it's very true, indeed. And they have different characters. Whatever Plush says, in no way will it affect Stephane or make him question his decision. It may amuse him as he may well know what's behind these words.
