It must be meaningful anniversary for Stephane if he wrote so many posts. I wish he wrote that much about current things and performances. The interview the next day after the win (the hair ) www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC41nKx8sL0And the exhibition Lucevan le stelle: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKWl_tmBcNA He was still a bit dazed ('what am I doing here') but had a new power and wow factor and new dramatic expression in his performance. This pushed me to watch some of his competition performances which I didn't do for a long time, there are many redundant things in competition that distract me from skating, commentary and all and with great career and many great, memorable performances it still seemed kind of pale and technical in comparison to his brilliant, free, artistic and creative exhibitions when I can just dive into the performance and the music. I forgot how fine Spanish Caravan was indeed. The completeness of it, wonderful skating and footwork, no focus on jumps, the whole body driven with the rhythm and the music. It was a new way of skating in singles' competition, the new system that made him a champion (although he would have won the competition under 6.0 too) and allowed to show his mastery, the craft of figure skater and artist, not just a jumper and showman . It was really inspiring to see. It wasn't just about winning but being the best skater he could be and he was ready when the opportunity was given. I also loved Truman show routine he skated at Euros, it was very unusual then, to piano music as well, he changed it to King Arthur for something "stronger', more explicit. Back then, I had bigger impression from Stephane's skating in Dortmund, in 2004, especially his short program, with a fall, but I didn't care, I was so taken by his unusual, exceptional music commitment and use of the body and hands, the spins wasn't my focus at all although everybody talked mostly about it. This competition made him a star for many, including myself. And he was very pretty and very funny at 18, no control. In Moscow, I was glad he won but also surprised a bit, I thought he was the first artistic skater to win the title in mens' category (I didn't remember Curry/Cousins times, and mens' was mostly promoting axels, quads etc.)

kindredspirit, I found for you a story about "La Traviata" costume. Some background story. In Tallinn, during Euros 2010, Stephane was in HUGE demand by journalists, so they decided to make some kind of press conference for all the journalists who wanted to talk to him. I couldn't come, but there is a video. Among the first questions he was asked about the new costume for the new program and he told a bit about the ideas he had for it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzaOQpapdnIIn general the costume was inspired by ballet costumes and he wanted something simple so that the program itself will shine. The costume was created by Pascale Müller, in Neuchâtel. This is the atelier where "Zebra" was made: www.pierasys.ch/main.html?src=%2Findex2.htmlwww.pierasys.ch/media/Steph_dos.JPGAnd the "Blood diamond" was also created there: www.pierasys.ch/mediac/450_0/media/blood_diamond.JPGOn the same video Stephane is also asked a bit about "Tell" (about the sleeves). That costume was created by Nicole Mottet from Martigny, who created "Dralion" and "King Arthur". Her site: www.nicolemottet.ch/In "media" section there is an article (coming back to #Moscow2005 ) "She dressed the king": www.nicolemottet.ch/pdf/_presse/Migros_magazine.pdf In general at Nebelhorn Trophy 2009 where Stephane showed his "Tell" for the first time, he said to journalists that this costume was inspired by "Tudors" TV series. Reut, you're my star! Thank you so much! I loved the costume he used for La Traviata, he really looked like a prince. Since we're starting talking about costumes, I've spent two hours re-watching some of his programs (it's like a drug, you start and you would never stop...) and I've noticed he had a thing for black and red. After all this years I forgot about it. Let's begin with Dralion: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmDCy_bVYhsOk, there's a little yellow but the predominant colors are red and black. Loved this too. Flamenco: www.youtube.com/watch?v=iahKR6aa2d0I can understand when you think of something spanish, the first colors are always black and red. Same for Tango: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7Hkjfql4dg (I've watched this video at least ten times today, poor me, I'm close to obsession) The water: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dVmJIVa2GUAnd of course, the already mentioned Carne Cruda: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvKkn3JuUTw (with a little gold). (by the way, talking about the other Carne Cruda costume, the one with the orange sleeve, did you notice that the pattern on the back is similar to the pattern he has on his "Try" costume? I mean, it's the same style). I know this means nothing, usually men prefer dark colors and to be honest, I never pay too much attention to their outfits, it's something I reserve for the ladies. It's true the costume it's part of the coreography, so it has its importance, but honestly, Stéphane is one of those people with a natural-born elegance, he can put on everything, when he's on the ice it's him you see, not what he's wearing. At least in my opinion. At the end of the day, the real and pure Stéphane is here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKpRFzpZjB8Our rockstar!

News from Stéphane's twitter: tomorrow (21 march 2015) Stéphane will be the special guest of an italian tv show called "Notti sul ghiaccio" (=Nights on ice) It's a kind of "Dancing with the stars" just to give you an idea of the show.... Here an article where they only say that is "highly awaited the performance of a real star of ice figure skating: the gold medalist at the world championships 2005 and 2006 and Olympic silver medalist in Turin in 2006, Stéphane Lambiel." Seems like a last minute thing, they said nothing about special guests till today. I saw the show on tv last week: the arena is very small and circular, so you can't do very much and of course I have no idea of what program he's going to skate. For sure he will receive a warm welcome and will be treated very well. The hostess of the show is a kind woman and an ex skater (even if not an ice skater), but at least she knows what she's talking about. I'm really curious! I think you should be able to watch the show on streaming, I will post the link tomorrow evening, just to be certain. Anyway, I'll try to record it!

I hope someone will share. Carolina Kostner was also in the program or some other skaters? It's something like Skating with the stars? Also, he will be present on Sunday at Crissier Expo, giving skating lesson. Maybe someone can go, lucky Swiss. www.facebook.com/emilfreycrissier/photos/a.116934261716665.20976.107140396029385/796361993773885/?type=1&theater

I didn't even know there was a program called skating with the stars...but definitely yes. It's the same program. And yes, they had many guests, Carolina Kostner was in the first episode (pity I couldn't watch her ), then they had Anna Cappellini/Luca Lanotte and Valentina Marchei/Ondrej Hotarek. I was dreaming about Stéphane in the show and sometimes dreams come true. Can't wait!

Here is print screen. Nothing especially new. Apparently they helped Stephane when he was only starting his career and now looking forward to help new talents he is working with in Skating School. Stephane said that with this car which is 4x4 (has four-wheel drive) it will be more comfortable to get to Champery in winter and that he is glad to know that with its hybrid motor this car proves that SUV can also be environment friendly which is important for him.

Really nice car I'm surprised they didn't hide the registration plate - quite unusual in these days.

Stephane's Instagram shows his arm in a sling with bandaged hand, saying his injury will prevent him from skating tonight. He says it's not serious, but it sure looks like it must hurt - poor guy, hope he recovers quickly.

Thanks for posting the picture, Gaja. I just noticed his finger seems to be in a splint and he has two band-aids on his forearm. Must have been a nasty fall? Feel so bad for him!
